It’s only taken BYD 5 years to do what Hyundai took 50 years to do, the SEAL being the latest model launched in Australia, to make three. Atto 3, Dolphin and SEAL. BYD’s progress has been phenomenal, from reports from recent Dream Days in China, this is just the tip of the EV iceberg!
We can’t wait to see what’s next, with sources close to BYD suggesting at least two more new models on the way in 2024, but with plenty more to come you can start to understand why BYD aims to be number one auto maker in the world!

Turns out you can! With three models in the SEAL range, there is something for everyone. It’s a direct competitor to the Tesla Model 3 but starts at just over AUD50k for the base Dynamic model. Which is an understatement really, as it’s more than enough for most drivers in every way. For around AUD50k the middle of the range is the Premium, with greater range, a bit more power and bigger 19″ wheels. The SEAL range tops out with the incredible two engine Performance, with supercar figures for around AUD70k.
