MG Cyberster - Unveiled at last!

Some of us remember the old MGB GT, I had as physic teacher who use to regale us with his stories of touring around Europe, God knows how he made it given the reputation for reliability and taking on water?

But this is way different. Yes it’s MG paying tribute to it’s 2 seaters of the past, but this one is in a league of it’s own. Nothing like it’s recent siblings under the “new” MG.

Oh, no this is just showing off, giving some of those other “performance” brands a taste of what a future electric sports car will look like, right now. Red Dot Award and all! (look it up).

And MG have been teasing us with the British designed Cyberster for a couple of years. Their aim was to bring back an exhilarating electric sports car, a definite statement!

It's bold and beautiful

Then we saw it in the flesh at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this time last year, and the FOS crowd were suitable impressed. The the rumours started as to when it would be launched, then if it would be brought to Australia?

And having just seen it for the first time, we just think it’s almost the perfect design.

So a big thanks to MG Australia for inviting us here to Sydney City MG today to witness the Australian launch of the new MG Cyberster as it begins it’s preview tour around Australia.

We didn’t get a chance to drive it today and deliveries won’t start till late 2024, but here’s a sneak peak, in the flesh as it was unveiled to the motoring experts.

Can't wait to drive it!

Who’s it for, anyone who doesn’t care about practicality and everyday driving – someone who just enjoys the wind in their hair and real power at their feet.

Nothing on price or delivery dates yet, but if this is the future of MG and Electric Sports cars, hang on, shit’s getting real.
